If there’s one outstanding benefit to owning a comic book store, I’d argue it’s the historical pop culture detritus that you find in long boxes.

The Dollar Bin series here on Substack will focus on some of the more outlandish concepts and conceits that we find along the way.

For the next few weeks, I’m reviewing signed books discovered while going through our back issue boxes. This week continues with another well known name: Tim Allen. But it’s not the Tim Allen that pled guilty to federal cocaine charges, portrayed a grunting TV-dad and voiced a delusional toy spaceman for Pixar. Sorry, Tool Time-heads.
