Batman #1 Preorders Due

Batman #1 swings into Gotham (and Savannah) this September. Preorders are due right now to guarantee your covers of choice. And there are a lot to choose from.

I’ve had a chance to read #1 and let me tell you, it’s good. It’s the perfect jumping on point, just as a number one should be. The return to the silver age gray and blue color scheme plays into a newfound superhero-heavy theme in the storytelling. If you enjoyed the Taylor/Redondo Nightwing run and wished the mainline book had the same flavor, get ready to fall in love with daddy bat.

And the art. Hoo-boy, the art. Jorge is an amazing storyteller with his panels and linework and this may be the best work of his career. Topline talent on a topline character. This is going to be huge.

And is there going to be a blind bag option? Of course there will be a blind bag. After the success of Battle Beast, I imagine every big book for the next year or two will have that option.
